THROAT CHAKRA CLEANSE

The Throat Chakra is the first of the higher spiritual chakras located at the neck and shoulders. The fifth chakra, known as Visuddha in Sanskrit, is associated with the color blue and with speaking and embracing your truth. When the Throat Chakra is cleansed and open, we are able to seek knowledge that is pure in it’s truthfulness and is beyond the conditioning and stigmatism of family and culture. It allows us to accept our uniqueness and express our true authentic voice. When the Throat Chakra is out of balance, you may experience excessive shyness, poor listening, dominating conversations, flakiness, and gossiping.

One of the seven Yamas in yoga is Satya, or absolute truth. It is a way of life that instills a moral code of speaking and living your truth in every situation. Truth is rarely nice, but it is always trustworthy. "Nice" is only a surface level experience. But to be truthful means to allow space for growth, change, and intimately deep connections. 

Imagine if for one day, everything that came out of your mouth was true. Imagine if you spoke with integrity - even if that meant being uncomfortable and letting someone down. Imagine how much energy would free up if we simply said what we truly meant the first time, and did not need to spend time going back and doing “damage control later on.
