BLUEBERRY COCONUT BLISS
We love pairing delicious and nutritious food together to create a tasty smoothie that's perfect any time of day. That's why we teamed up with Marlene from @Veganyogigirl, to share her favorite healthy recipes with you.
Blueberries are an amazing source of phytonutrients and contain a substantial amount of antioxidants that help off set diseases like Alzheimer's, cancer, and heart disease. They also help with anti aging which includes great skin, vision, and overall health. Dates are full of natural sugar, fiber, minerals, vitamins and taste like caramel! Add just a pinch of cinnamon to increase metabolism, fight infections, and lower the negative effects of high cholesterol and fat intake.
-3/4 pint of blueberries
-2 C of almond milk
-1 frozen banana
-8 dates (pitted)
-1 tsp cinnamon
-1 sliver of vanilla
Blend together until smooth. Add whole blueberries, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and coconut chunks for a pretty finish.
