Needless to say, Vrschikasana, or the Scorpion pose is an extremely challenging pose, but can be learned with practice, diligence, and a little bit of self acceptance. A wonderful pose for strengthening the shoulders, back, and legs, the Scorpion pose is amazing for stretching the chest and shoulders. There are few poses that challenge your sense of balance coordination, strength, and perseverance more than Vrschikasana.


If you are new to Scorpion, try it against a wall first. You can also bend into Vrschikasana from a handstand, making sure to use your core, leg, and shoulder strength. 


Remember, when we are challenged, we grow the most.
