SPRING SUPERFOOD RECIPE

Our recipe of the day comes from one of our favorite health bloggers, Clean Eating Claudia.

As the weather gets warmer, we're dreaming of tropical drinks on a warm island oasis! So our go-to recipe of the day is all about the tropical delight of pineapple. Pineapple is great for work out recoveries due to it's high index of enzyme bromelain. By aiding in the digestion of protein, the high percent of Bromelain in pineapple is the perfect way to compliment your favorite protein powder. This smoothie is wonderful for after a hot yoga, barre, sculpt, or pilates class. 

 

 

Ingredients: 

1 1/2 cup of filtered water or coconut water


1/2 cup diced frozen pineapple


1/2 a banana (frozen for icier consistency)


1 stem of kale (torn and removed from stem)


1 scoop protein powder (I used a vanilla protein powder)


1/2 tsp of chia seeds on top once blended (optional)
